You just have to know what to look for.

Today, we’re going to talk about the best places and the best property to own in Greece. So, what is better: a whitewashed villa, a cosy bungalow, or a stylish apartment?

The Best Property to Buy in Greece

There are 3 main types of property, which most people are looking for when buying real estate in Greece:

  • Apartments;
  • Villas;
  • And bungalows.

We’re going to start with the most exotic one – a bungalow.

This type of accommodation is typical for the resort places in the country – Corfu, Crete, and Peloponnese. Usually, a bungalow is a close to nature small villa with its own pool, 2-5 bedrooms, a full set of appliances and furniture, and, of course, a panoramic sea view. It can be an individual villa or a complex of 3-5 separate bungalows. The price for this type of property slightly differs in all regions. An average cost is around 400.000-700.000 euros (Crete) and 200.000-400.000 euros (Peloponnese). Everything depends on how big the house is. The closer to the sea, the higher are the prices.

Villas or Houses

Bungalows and houses can be both considered as villas but of a different size. The bungalows are smaller than villas, which usually look like traditional American houses we all are used to. This type of accommodation in most cases is not so close to the sea as the bungalows are. It is a big, luxurious house with a huge green territory. Usually, it is something with 5-9 bedrooms, a huge pool, endless greenery, which is not far from the city, and sometimes with a sea view. The villas are popular on Crete and Attica. The average price for one house in these regions is around 9.000.000-11.000.000 euros. Everything depends on the size of the house and the views it has.

The simplest and most affordable property to buy in Greece is an apartment. This type of accommodation is available in both urban and resort places. But the prices are different. As usual, resort places are less affordable than Athens, Thessaloniki, or Patras. The average price for a stylish, spacious apartment in Athens is 69.000-100.000 euros.

So, that’s all for today’s brief guide to the affordable and luxurious property of Greece. And what would you choose as your own accommodation there?
